Sinchi Vida is more than a wellness blog; it’s a lifestyle, a community, and a celebration of holistic living. The name itself carries meaning: Sinchi is Quechua for “strong,” and Vida translates to “life” in both Spanish and Portuguese. Together, they embody resilience, vitality, and the essence of living fully.

Born from a rich Peruvian-Brazilian heritage, Sinchi Vida is a space where culture, personality, and wellness intersect. We draw inspiration from many cultures to explore ways of living mindfully, beautifully, and in harmony with oneself and the world. From holistic health and nutrition to fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, we share insights and practices that cultivate the highest quality of life, body, mind, and spirit.

Our products and recommendations reflect this vision. They are thoughtfully crafted, clean, cruelty-free, vegan, and eco-conscious. Every item embodies care, intention, and respect for the planet and for yourself.

FAQs

What Does Sinchi Vida Mean?

Sinchi means “strong” in Quechua, the indigenous language of the Incas of Peru. Vida means “life,” and whether translated into Portuguese or Spanish, the meaning is the same. I like to pronounce Vida in Portuguese to honor my Brazilian heritage while connecting Sinchi to my Peruvian roots. Sinchi Vida celebrates both sides of my culture and the strength and vitality that have shaped who I am.

What Is This Blog About?

Sinchi Vida is a space for holistic living, culture, and lifestyle. It’s about wellness, fashion, beauty, and meaningful ways to live fully. It’s also about my life, my culture, and the perspectives that have shaped me. While deeply personal, the blog is designed for everyone to enjoy, no matter your background, beliefs, or lifestyle.

Why Include Catholic Content?

Catholicism is an important part of Latino culture, especially in South America. Sharing aspects of Catholic tradition and culture is a way to honor that heritage and reflect the richness of Latinx life. The content is not prescriptive; rather, it highlights cultural beauty and personal experience.

My Connection to Brazil and Peru

I spent much of my childhood in South America, primarily in Brazil, and traveled between the U.S.A. and Brazil until 2011. I also lived briefly in Peru before settling permanently in the United States. While most of my life has now been spent in the U.S., my heart remains deeply connected to Brazil and Peru. Sinchi Vida is a reflection of these experiences, blending the cultures, traditions, and wellness practices that have shaped me into the person I am today.
