Brazilian Girl Beauty Secrets
This has been a long time coming but finally, after years of Sinchi, I will reveal all of my mother’s Brazilian Beauty Secrets that I use all the time!
Frequent Showers
I know what you’re thinking, “Girl we’re all supposed to shower frequently” but trust me no one showers as much as a Brazilian. We take showers for everything. To go to the grocery store, to go to the gym, when we get back from the gym, to go for a walk, when we get back from walks, any activities in general. It’s why Brazilian skin is so clear!
Acai Bowls
Full of antioxidants, protein, fiber, and healthy fats. The acai bowl is a common treat for hot days in Brazil, my cousins and I would enjoy it every time I visited Brazil!
We Move
Brazilians are known to have very fit bodies, there’s a reason for that. We move a lot! In my mother’s small town of Lagoa Da Prata in Minas Gerais, we kids didn’t have cars at 16, we rode bicycles everywhere, or better yet we walked! I remember riding my bike to my cousins across town every day! Brazilians are also huge gym rats on top of that!
Stay Hydrated
Coconut water is a very popular way to stay hydrated in Brazil, I still have my fridge fully stocked with coconut water!
We Bleach Our Body Hair?
This will be the only toxic self-care thing I will ever put out there! Hey, hear me out! Shaving is a lot of work! Sometimes it’s easier to just let it grow! The contrast of blonde hair on tan or dark skin adds a beautiful glow that Brazilians are also known for! Just be sure to do this in the shower so you don’t get any of the lighteners on your clothes!
We Take Haircare Seriously
Brazilians are known for their long thick locks! That’s because haircare is a top beauty priority for us! We oil our hair and use hair masks, and the Brazilian Blowout became a trademark for a reason! When I was in cosmetology school, the best hair education came from Brazilian hairstylists! Brazilians do not mess around when it comes to haircare!
Clean Eating
In Brazil, my family always ate organic. We’d go to a local homesteader and buy straight from their garden! My body felt good, my skin was clear and I just felt better overall! Eating clean is by far the best advice I could offer. Taking care of yourself on the inside will show on the outside!
I certainly hope you love these bits of Brazilian Beauty Advice! I love sharing parts of my culture with you!

Sarita
