The Rebirth of 2026
Hello, my beautiful sirens.
It’s Sarita, welcoming you into another year of peace, intention, and possibility.
Each year, I write a blog post at the beginning of January to honor this season of rebirth and rebranding. Everyone wants to become a better version of themselves, and what better time than now? Instead of framing this as “New Year’s resolutions,” I want to reframe this moment as the rebirth of 2026.
After all, the changes we make are meant to stay consistent with who we are and what we truly want for ourselves. So let’s begin.
1. Figure out who you want to be
This isn’t about becoming the “wellness girl” or the ultimate girlboss. It’s about desire. Who are you becoming? What kind of life are you building?
For me, I’m leaning away from constant hustle and learning to love my life as it is now, enjoying the highs and learning from the lows. My goal this year is peace and balance, not perfection.
2. Become an artist
We often focus our goals on the gym, eating better, or working harder, and while those are valuable, they are not the entirety of being human. Art is.
Learn an instrument. Paint. Draw. Write poetry. Start a comic series just for yourself, even if no one ever sees it. Step away from constant scrolling and the quiet brain rot of overconsumption.
Go watch a ballet. Attend the philharmonic. Sit with the fine arts and let yourself feel inspired. These experiences are far more accessible than people think, and they were never meant to be the exclusive domain of elites.
3. Dive deep into your spiritual beliefs
Not everyone shares my Catholic faith, and that’s okay. This year, I encourage you to deepen your understanding of whatever you believe in. Learn why you are drawn to it. Study it. Sit with it.
Spiritual curiosity is often a doorway to self-understanding. When you explore what grounds you, you learn more about who you are.
4. Prepare for a big vacation
I know-I know. But hear me out. The vacation season is important because it gives us something to look forward to.
Whether it’s a weekend in the mountains or a wellness retreat overseas, plan something intentional. Prepare for rest. Prepare for leisure. Prepare for joy.
5. Eat well
It’s time to seriously rethink processed foods. Not only does cooking at home save money, but it reintroduces ritual into your life.
I love cooking because it’s intentional. It’s not transactional; it’s a moment to slow down, prepare something with care, and appreciate the work that goes into nourishing yourself. Eating well is an act of respect toward your body.
6. Learn a new sport
The gym is great, but let’s expand beyond it. Learn a sport. Challenge your coordination, your focus, your patience.
I started playing tennis a few years ago, and even though I’m not very good, I love that it lets me move my body, engage my mind, and bond with my family. You could try golf, swimming, or anything available at local parks and community spaces.
7. Become a philanthropist
Building community is about more than reposts and hashtags. It’s about showing up.
Ask yourself: what value can I bring? Maybe it’s reading to children, helping at animal shelters, preparing meals, or simply offering your time. Philanthropy is not only about money, but it’s also about care, presence, and responsibility.
8. Educate yourself
Higher education is a privilege, and one that many people are still fighting to access. Education is power. It elevates your life, your thinking, and your ability to contribute meaningfully to the world.
You don’t need to go into debt or attend college if that option isn't accessible. Go to the library. Read books. Learn languages. Stay curious. True wealth begins with knowledge.
9. Touch some grass
Yes, I mean it literally and lovingly. Go outside. Experience reality.
This generation (myself included) is deeply absorbed in constant digital consumption. Slow living can feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s necessary. Delete an app you don’t need. Step away from your phone. Reconnect with what’s right in front of you.
10. Start a business. Move your career forward
What’s your talent? Are you an artist, a maker, a creator? Do you dream of turning something you love into something sustainable?
There is no perfect time, only now. Here at Sinchi Vida, we spent years refining what we wanted to create. Rooted in wellness as a way of life, we’re finally bringing that philosophy into the kitchen.
We’re honored to introduce The Origin Collection, our debut tea line, launching in February 2026.
