SKINCARE DETOX RESET

We often find ourselves trying whatever new product graces the market, even if we aren’t fully aware of what it does for the skin. With the age of social media pushing consumerism onto us more and more it’s important to get back to the basics and remember that skincare is meant to be simple. With so many skincare products on the shelves, we’re bound to use products that we might not even need. Before we know it, our skin is tired, full of breakouts, and in desperate need of a break.

This skin detox will leave you feeling fresh and fabulous! It’s not just for the face, it can also be for the body!

Avoid an Overwhelming Routine

If you find yourself with a 20-step skincare routine, then it’s time to downsize. Sometimes our skin doesn’t need 20 different products, as the old saying goes, less is more.

Simplify Your Skincare

With so many harsh products on the market, make sure the products you use are simple and clean, and avoid anything with harsh ingredients.

African Black Soap is Your Best Friend

If you have oily skin prone to hyperpigmentation, African black soap will be the best product for you. It’s clean, simple, and great for the skin.

Micellar Gel Wash for Sensitive Skin

If your skin is anything like me, then she needs something gentle. Harsh skincare simply isn’t acceptable.

Use a Simple, Clean, Moisturizer

Like the facewash, the moisturizer needs to be simple as well. Overwhelming the face with harsh chemicals will cause more harm than good.

Never Forget Sunscreen

Despite what most holistic people will say, I’m a huge advocate for sunscreen. Sunscreen can prevent things such as melanoma, aging, and hyperpigmentation.

You are free to add things to your routine, I would highly recommend a dermatologist’s advice before adding so many extra steps. This detox will get your skin right where it needs to be and give it room to improve.
