About Us
Sinchi Vida began in 2021 as a space for conversation, centered on eco-feminism, sustainability, and the changing relationship between people and the earth. It was a place to question, to learn, and to return to what matters.
But herbalism was always there.
Long before the blog, working with plants was already a part of everyday life, learned through family, through elders, and through experience. It wasn’t something separate or performative. It was practical, lived knowledge. Something passed down, observed, and respected.
That foundation comes from many places, family teachings, community wisdom, and cultural influences that include a deep respect for nature and balance, shaped in part by Peruvian and Brazilian heritage and ways of thinking about the natural world. Over time, those influences came together into a way of practicing that is both traditional and adaptable to modern life.
As the world continues to change, so does the need to hold onto what is real. Sinchi Vida grew from that understanding, shifting from writing about these values to creating something tangible. An apothecary rooted in plants, in care, and in knowledge that has been carried forward.
This space is open to anyone. Different backgrounds, different beliefs, different ways of understanding healing. Whether your approach is spiritual, practical, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here.
At its core, this work is simple. It is about supporting the body, respecting the plants, and not losing the knowledge that has sustained people for generations.
Ever evolving, as we are made.
