Our Favorite DIY Face Mask

I’ve always been a fan of trying new things but in this case, I like to keep things simple. I love face masks, but my skin is so sensitive. I’m not a fan of masks filled with ingredients I can’t even pronounce, I’m always concerned with what I’m putting on my body. This simple matcha green tea face mask never fails to do its job!

Before we get started though, do we even know the point of a green tea face mask?

According to Kathrene Marengo on Healthline, “When used topically, green tea reduces the amount of sebum that your skin produces.” but what is sebum?

Sebum is an oily secretion of the sebaceous glands. So an overproduction of sebum triggers acne by clogging pores, green tea helps reduce sebum which ultimately benefits the skin by preventing breakouts that cause acne in the first place.

Now onto my favorite part, the recipe!

xoxo,

Sarita
